The Male BETA Christian

As a morbid obese person, (Person whose BMI is above 39) I will not take any more speaking engagements, or preach, or even adjunct until my body is well under control. How many obese preachers should leave the pulpit? How many preach against this or that yet their BMI and blood pressure, blood sugar is completely out of control? Yes this is a very mean post... can you tell I am reading "Extreme Ownership" by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin? I have literally stopped listening to the BETA Christian mindset, what I have discovered through observation, experience and seeking the truth, the Beta Christian mindset has feminized men, brought the standard set by Christ for being a man and made it equal to women. Seriously, ask yourself. Where does it say for a woman to "love your husbands as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it." It doesn't men should be stronger physically then women, there isn't a more masculine, tough, alpha male moment in history as when...

3 point sermon watching the 3 point shot

Tonight I watched the Trinity College of Florida Men's Div. II NCCAA basketball team play and win over Weber International JV. The TCF Tiger's won last nights game against the PHSC Bobcats as well. So how did I get a three point sermon from watching great players make 3 point shots? I brought a 360 camera to capture some footage of the game. I wanted the view to be right behind the player bench, as I set up the camera they were so into the game they did not even notice I was there.  Sermon point #1. Reverential Respect. The respect the players have for each other, the other team,  coaches and even the referees, all were a fine example of how each of us should treat everyone we encounter. The Word of God says, " So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets" Matthew 7:12.  Sermon point #2. Rejoice with those who rejoice. With a decent point spread I watched the coach get players off the bench and into the game...

10%

So what should a person do when they're income does not keep up with inflation? When they often have to live on a credit card just to pay their bills, mind you oh, they don't have cable, they live in the cheapest available housing, they drive a vehicle with a hundred and forty thousand miles, which they must have to get to work, they never buy expensive things, luxury items, because they are a single household income. According to what the western church says, live on 80%, save 10% and give 10% to the local church you attend. And now here is the issue, where my hundred percent doesn't get you there, and you still managed to give a little, you don't save anyting oh, but you do give a little to the church, should you go to church? I mean, you benefit from the building parking lot at air conditioning? So should you go to church? The answer is no, you should not go until you have found the way who live on 80% of your income, save 10% of your income, and then give 10% of yo...

Hypo-Law

Jesus said, "apart from me you can do nothing..." As Christ claimers our hypocrisy bars our success. We shout "grace grace" and claim "pray pray" without repenting from our coping sins. When our children reject Christ they just may be rejecting our hypocrisies because as Christ claimers we model a false Christianity not the true nature of a repentant, Holy Spirit led life we claim.

Meditate

How to be a blessed person. According to King David it was not walking with, fellowshipping, or taking stands (positions) with the ungodly but rather meditating on the Law of the Lord day and night. (See Psalm 1), it wasn't attendance at some gathering or listening to your favorite speaker, it wasn't small groups, or contemporary services, not women's groups or men's groups, no, it is you and the Word with no mediator or moderator. You can be blessed alone with the Word, those who attend church and ignore the Word are no better off than the unrighteous.  Skip all church for a year and just get in the Word for a year, every line, gather with one or two of your children, break bread, give thanks, see if they walk in the truth when they are adults, we already know that statistically they don't when the grow up in church amd youth group.

The trick

Children raised with a biblical worldview still have a free will to walk in darkness and ignore the truth. The trick is not to join them.

Grief

Grieving the loss of childhood innocence and dreams ends in your 30's. Grieving the loss of your children's innocence begins in your 40's and 50's. The cycle continues with each generation. Live for today, enjoy each moment of peace and happiness, as they are passing like a vapor.
