Wise Singleparenting

 Jesus said, "apart from me you can do nothing..." As Christ claimers our hypocrisy bars our success. We shout "grace grace" and claim "pray pray" without repenting from our coping sins. When our children reject Christ they just may be rejecting our hypocrisies because as Christ claimers we model a false Christianity not the true nature of a repentant, Holy Spirit led life we claim.

How to be a blessed person. According to King David it was not walking with, fellowshipping, or taking stands (positions) with the ungodly but rather meditating on the Law of the Lord day and night. (See Psalm 1), it wasn't attendance at some gathering or listening to your favorite speaker, it wasn't small groups, or contemporary services, not women's groups or men's groups, no, it is you and the Word with no mediator or moderator. You can be blessed alone with the Word, those who attend church and ignore the Word are no better off than the unrighteous.  Skip all church for a year and just get in the Word for a year, every line, gather with one or two of your children, break bread, give thanks, see if they walk in the truth when they are adults, we already know that statistically they don't when the grow up in church amd youth group. 

 Children raised with a biblical worldview still have a free will to walk in darkness and ignore the truth. The trick is not to join them.

Grieving the loss of childhood innocence and dreams ends in your 30's. Grieving the loss of your children's innocence begins in your 40's and 50's. The cycle continues with each generation. Live for today, enjoy each moment of peace and happiness, as they are passing like a vapor. 

Free will isn't free from consequences, there are no do over's in life. From my spiritual life, inconsistent parenting styles, career frustrations, obesity, finances, failed marriages, and relationships... Jesus wasn't kidding when he said, "apart from me you can do nothing..." Every decision I make, if it doesn't align perfectly with His written will, His wisdom, His principles, even when it isn't necessarily bad or good, if I don't weigh all the possibilities, if I am for one moment intellectually lazy... sowing what you reap brutal. Life is hard, lonely, frustrating, humiliating, all in all, when you get to share a meal with a loved one, or have that moment with God, that one moment when you know he saw you, he heard you, those are far and few, but that is the Grace of God. I can barely change things, if at all, there is no alternative for whether your name is in the Lamb's book of life or not, heaven and hell are decided by your free will choi...

It is the most horrible moment of your life when you wake up and realize your life has been a complete lie. Like when you find out your spouse has cheated, or you have been betrayed by a friend, it is horrible, it is why people shut off from the world. So, I can only do one thing, I can share my experience with others, so hopefully, they will be made aware and take proactive measures with their own children. Trust absolutely no one with the well being of your children, youth leaders at church, teachers, pastors, friends, family members, their friends, trust absolutely no one. Lesson learned, there are wolves among the sheep, expect everyone to be a wolf since God will not protect your child from the wolves because he is the only one who knows who they are.
